Apple TV app development

We design and build tvOS apps for streaming services and media brands, and we’ve been doing it since before tvOS existed: our engineers built Apple TV prototypes for HBO GO and Yahoo Screen, then early tvOS work for MTV and Comedy Central.

What we build on Apple TV

  • Native tvOS apps in Swift and SwiftUI, sharing code with your iOS app
  • Focus-engine navigation designed for the Siri Remote
  • Top Shelf, Continue Watching and Apple TV app integration
  • AVPlayer playback, FairPlay DRM, captions and audio description
  • Live channels, VOD libraries and server-side ad insertion
  • In-app subscriptions and TV provider single sign-on
  • App Store review and launch

Apple TV and Apple work

Galactic Nemesis launched as one of the first games on the new Apple TV and reached #1 paid in the US App Store. From 2019 to 2025, our team engineered Apple Radar, Apple’s internal tracking tool, on iOS and macOS.

Questions buyers ask us

Can you share code between our iOS and Apple TV apps?

Yes. We plan a shared codebase so features, player logic and analytics stay consistent across iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.

Do you handle FairPlay DRM?

Yes. We integrate FairPlay Streaming with your DRM provider and license server.

Can you take over an existing tvOS app?

Yes. We start with a code and architecture review during discovery, then fix, modernize or rebuild as needed.
